I'm getting married in 80 days.
Or 2 months and 21 days if thats easier to understand. But whose counting right? Its a surreal thing to think that in the amount of time that could be considered just a glimpse, I'll be starting the adventure of spending the rest of my life with my best friend. Crazy. Life is crazy!
Now this is both an exciting and a bit stressful time to be honest. Filled with the constant and seemingly endless preparations as well as the taste of something more beyond. I can only say that the time can't pass quickly enough, and yet I want to sit and savor each moment before knowing its the first and last time I'll be the ever elusive "engaged man"! I'll be sure to share my experience as things start to ramp up.
Alas, that is not what this post is about. This post is about Lezlie and I's story. How we met, what brought us together, and how it all happened. However I'm not much of a writer, but I can tell you a story the best way I know how. Check out the video interview below to literally see...
Our story is one I never thought I would get to be a part of, and yet its the most joyous things to ever fall to me. I thank the Lord every day for the gift he's entrusting to me in the form of a partner in crime for life! I literally giggle just thinking about it.
Its amazing to look back and to see how many people made not only the proposal, but the engagement possible! I want to thank Guy Shepperd, Tyler Burns, Samuel D. Ramsey, Zac & Kaitlin Simmons, The Hill Family, Jillian Zamora, Chastiny Lewis, and so many others (the list literally goes on and on!) for making things happen, and giving them meaning! We can't express our thanks!
It's my wonderful fiancé's birthday!
Ok...well it was the 20th...but close right? (Hers is the 20th and mine he 28th, we're just decided to have a shared birthday week, its more fun that way). I wanted to post an official happy birthday to her (with photos!) It's her last as an engaged woman! To celebrate we had our engagements taken by Jillian Zamora, which you can find the preview above. And! I got an illustration done of us by Michael Henderson (thank you Emily for the idea!) who is an illustrationist...illustrationer...illustrator... in Dallas and runs a nifty little shop on etsy, go check it out! I think we're actually featured in one of his photos! Plus he's super fast and really fun to talk to.
It's been a great start to the new year so far, and yes I'll be posting new year stuff soon enough. I'm kicking into high gear edit mode to finish things off before the wedding and get those creative flows going. Sorry for the longer post, lots to catch up on. Hope everyone has a great week!
Be sure to check back soon for more posts and fun stuff! It's my goal to really keep up with the blog and push for a productive year! (I promise, cool stuff in store.)
